We are very busy with our own restoration, and our respective jobs, but we attempt to reply promptly to emails and to update this site regularly. We do not make any money from this site, and are not seeking monetary donations. Instead, we are asking others to share from their own experience to help add to and improve the site. If you see serious errors which need correcting, or have useful information to contribute, please don't hesitate to contact us. If you have time to share, please email us and volunteer to help to verify and type listing for our resources page.
suggest additions to our resources listWe are slowly adding to our list of various resources for historic preservationists. If you know of qualified contractors, architects, or other historic professionals; if you know of sources for antique or reproduction building materials or furnishings; if you are part of a historic preservation organization or can think of any other resources which should be included in our list, please contact us. We hope to compile the most comprehensive list of historic resources online, including sources for funding, government programs, contractors, architects, lawyers, CPAs, and purveyors of reclaimed and reproduction building materials, fabrics, paints and papers and furnishings. We work to verify that each resource listed is accompanied by current contact information.

author an articlePlease help us to improve this site as an inspirational resource for historic preservation by authoring an article. If you are in the field of historic preservation or managing your own restoration project, we encourage you to share the knowledge of your experience or to write and article about an interesting project. If you are not directly involved in preservation yourself, you may wish to highlight a project you know of. Any aspect of historic preservation work would be appropriate including archaeology, designs, structural repair and conservation, historic paint colors, techniques for dating old buildings, native and heirloom plants for historic gardens or garden design. The possibilities are limitless. We simply ask that articles be written with an intention of providing inspiration or education.
